NEW — patch 66–70. The fishing minigame from Avalon 2 is back, exactly as it was: 105 fishing spots in 21 places across the world, five new fish, a set of rare catches — and, at the very bottom of it all, the Lord of the Sea. Press Play and the launcher installs everything.

How to start

Find Old Fisherman Kingle on the field south of Brasilis (bra_fild01 94,184). Nobody catches anything without his lesson.
Buy a Fishing Rod (50,000 z) and a stack of Lures (2,000 z each) from Fishing Supplies in Brasilis (264,71). The rod stays in your inventory, lures are used up.
Click any Fishing Spot and play the timing game. Every spot is a cluster of five, so a whole party can fish side by side.

What bites

Most casts bring up ordinary fish — food, and a bit of zeny. Five new species join them: Trout and Carp heal like Fresh Fish, the Clownfish makes you tell a joke so bad it freezes everyone nearby, the Hypnotoad has no use anyone knows of, and Surströmming is best left uneaten.

A lucky cast also brings up the semi-rares: Fischer Ring, Ring of Water, Waterdrop Brooch, Evolved Blue Fish, Fish In Mouth, a Fresh Fish accessory and Seasoned Jellyfish.

Trophy fish

Every fishing ground hides one kind of trophy fish that bites nowhere else — from Nemo in Brasilis to the Silverfish. Twenty-one grounds, twenty-one trophies. They do nothing on their own, but Kingle keeps count of which grounds you have conquered, and the full set is the only key to the lair below.

The Lord of the Sea

Bring Kingle proof of all 21 trophy fish and he will row you out to a place no map shows: the Lair of Leviathan. Cast your line there and something very large answers. The lair is private — one fisher at a time, fifteen minutes, nobody can steal your fight.

Leviathan has been tuned for Avalon: 3,000,000 HP, hits for 5,000–7,000, casts Water Ball, Frost Diver and Storm Gust, heals himself and calls Marine Spheres when cornered. Bring a plan.

One fight per character. After the kill Kingle marks you as the fisher who bested the Lord of the Sea, and the lair closes for that character for good. The regular fishing spots stay open forever.
