- An old, really old vending machine stands in Rachel with a doggy hat visible inside it. It happily swallows a million zeny, rumbles, and then jams - and the only clue is the words "Payon Weapon Shop" printed on the inside.
Walkthrough
Stage 1 — Crappy Vending Machine
Location: rachel 94,44
Click the machine, choose "Try to get that hat!" and buy the Puppy Hat from the shop window that opens. The machine eats your money, rumbles, and jams - it reads "Payon Weapon Shop" on the side.
Bring:
- 1,000,000 Zeny
Stage 2 — Mysterious Voice (#VendMan)
Location: payon 128,181
Click the invisible spot on the floor in Payon. The voice snickering at your loss panics, admits the machine has been broken for weeks, and tells you to feed it more money and not to tell his mom.
Stage 3 — Crappy Vending Machine
Location: rachel 94,44
Go back to Rachel, use the machine again and pay the second million. This time the hat drops out.

- 1,000,000 Zeny

Notes
Cannot be repeated: once the hat is out (SittingDog = 3) the machine only tells you that you never want to touch it again. The first 1,000,000 Zeny is genuinely lost - you get nothing for it, and 2,000,000 Zeny total is needed. The Mysterious Voice in Payon is an invisible NPC (sprite 111, name hidden by the # prefix), so you must click the empty spot at payon 128,181. The purchase runs through a hidden shop entry (SittingDog, item 5182 priced at 1,000,000) intercepted in OnBuyItem, so the hat is bought from the machine window, not from a dialogue.
