- The Water Spirit will re-forge your Ocean armor with a slot, but the price is a small mountain of blue hair and aquamarine. "So you want a slotted version is it? Very well, don't expect any gifts from me however."
Walkthrough
Stage 1 — Water Spirit
Location: iz_dun03 227,185
Choose "I have all the required Items" to have the plain Ocean armor forged. Skip this step if you already own one.
Bring:
- 75x Mystic Frozen
- 1x Full Plate [1]
- 20x Glistening Coat
- 100x Coral Reef
- 1x Swordfish Card
- 750,000 Zeny
Receive: Saphien's Armor of Ocean
Stage 2 — Water Spirit
Location: iz_dun03 227,185
Talk to the spirit again, pick "I would like to upgrade my Armor to a slotted version." and then "I have all that I need" to receive the slotted armor.
Bring:
- 1x Saphien's Armor of Ocean
- 500x Blue Hair (only 100 are actually taken)
- 50x Aquamarine

Notes
Script bug: the check demands 500 Blue Hair, but the script only removes 100 of them - you still have to be carrying all 500 to pass the check, and you keep the remaining 400 afterwards. Step 1 is the plain Saphien's Armor of Ocean quest, which has its own entry; skip it if you already own the armor. Both steps are menu options of the same NPC. The plain armor is consumed by the upgrade. No class or level requirement and the quest is repeatable.
